1. Design Concept
The main goal was to create a poster that communicates speed, power, luxury and performance.
I wanted the Ferrari to remain the main visual focus while using supporting elements to create depth and a strong premium appearance.
Design goals:
-
- Create a powerful first impression
-
- Highlight the Ferrari brand
-
- Maintain clear visual hierarchy
-
- Present performance information clearly
-
- Create a premium automotive feel
2. Color Palette
The design uses a simple and powerful color palette:
Red – Passion, speed and energy
Black – Luxury, power and drama
White – Contrast and readability
Using a limited color palette helps keep the design consistent and visually strong.
3. Layout & Composition
The poster uses a strong vertical composition.
The Ferrari logo and main title are positioned at the top, while the car occupies the central area as the primary focal point.
Performance information is placed below the car, followed by supporting feature icons.
This creates a clear visual flow:
Brand → Car → Performance → Features

4. Image Selection
High-quality Ferrari imagery was selected to create a premium automotive atmosphere.
Close-up details of the car were used in the background to add depth, while the main side-profile car image remains the hero element.
The background images were treated carefully so they support the design without competing with the main car.
5. Typography
Bold and clean typography was used for the main FERRARI title.
Different font sizes, weights and spacing were used to establish hierarchy.
The most important information is made visually stronger, while supporting information remains smaller and easier to read.
6. Creating the Design in Photoshop
The poster was developed step-by-step in Adobe Photoshop.
Step 1 – Background
A dark automotive background was created to provide a premium foundation.
Step 2 – Brand Element
The Ferrari logo and central red section were positioned to establish the visual identity.
Step 3 – Car Placement
The main Ferrari car was placed across the center and carefully aligned with the composition.
Step 4 – Background Details
Close-up car images were added behind the main subject to create depth.
Step 5 – Typography & Information
The title, model name, slogan and performance specifications were added.
Step 6 – Icons & Details
Supporting icons were added for engine, racing performance, handling and design.
Step 7 – Final Adjustments
Lighting, contrast, shadows, spacing and alignment were refined to achieve the final polished look.

7. Final Result
After completing the composition, typography, imagery and finishing touches, the final Ferrari 488 Pista poster was created.

This is the actual final design, so it should be shown clearly without any mockup effects.
8. Real-World Mockups
To understand how the design works outside Photoshop, the final poster can be presented in different real-world applications.
Wall Frame

Billboard

Mobile Wallpaper

Flyer / Print

Mockups help demonstrate how a graphic design can be adapted for different real-world applications.

Final Thoughts
Creating this Ferrari 488 Pista poster was a practical exercise in combining automotive imagery, branding, typography and composition.
The biggest takeaway is that every element should have a purpose. When colors, images, typography and spacing work together, even a simple promotional poster can become a strong visual design.
